The power of the city and the Groningen countryside

If our gins were made elsewhere in the world, they wouldn't taste like Hooghoudt. That is the influence of the ingredients from the Groningen countryside, the production process in our distillery and the mentality of the men and women who work there every day.

Down-to-earth Northerners
Northerners are down-to-earth and quirky, but also really friendly. Perhaps that is why we are so fascinated with making the softest jenever in the Netherlands.

We do this with ingredients that come from the environment as much as possible, the origin of which can always be checked.

In this way we literally work every day with respect for our past. The current recipe of our gins is also still based on the notes from two notebooks by Ludolf Hooghoudt from 1914 (one with coded ingredients and formulas and the other to decipher the codes). And just like all generations before us, we are still working every day to make those recipes even better.
